Thomas was born on September 30, 1956, in South Euclid, Ohio and lived there for the first 11 years of his life. He then went on to live in Richmond Heights for 20 years until previously residing in Parma for the last 35 years. Thom attended Sunbeam School until 9th grade and went on to graduate from Mayfield Heights High School in 1975. Upon his graduation, Thom continued his education at both John Carroll University and Lakeland Community College. Despite the challenges life threw his way, Thom overcame a lot. His car was equipped with hand controls which allowed him to work many years for Society National Bank and eventually Firestone Company, to which he retired. He enjoyed traveling with his friends and often took trips downtown to watch a baseball game or attend a concert. He was also the founder and President of the Jackson 5 Fan Club. A man of faith, he was a parishioner of St. Paschal’s during his time in the Cleveland area and while in Parma he received Communion from St. Albert the Great. Thom adored his family, which included his beloved cat Gilligan, and loved time spent with them. On July 14, 2023, with family by his side, Thom passed away. He leaves a legacy on how to live an amazing life while being an example to countless others on how to lead a life of dignity, courage, and boundless optimism. He was, is, and will continue to be an example to all of us on how to fully utilize the gifts God gave each of us.
The family would like to thank Legacy Parma for their many years of loving care and The Cleveland Clinic for 60 years of wonderful attention to all his needs.

Thom, like the rest of the Krebs Family, exemplifies love, spirit, bravery and compassion. Unfortunately after we moved away from Richmond Heights I did not keep up with Thom personally, but heard of all his adventures and life through Jack. Thom was a couple of years older than us and he was great to be around. I remember when Mrs. (Catherine) Krebs would unfailingly give us a cookie snack like Oreos in the afternoon as a small treat to keep us fueled while we played. We all loved those times and Thom on one occasion really wanted to let us know he was enjoy it by sticking his tongue out cookies and all. It was hilarious. It’s been about 50 years since our two families went down to Disney World together, and Thom, Mr (Harrison) and Mrs Krebs were with us. Thom and all will be missed. We send lots of Love and Light to the family.

Thom was an amazing man, and exemplifies some of basic qualities of the whole Krebs family, such as his indomitable spirit, bottomless love, compassion and bravery. I knew him as a child, and it was great to have him around. Unfortunately I lost touch with him after my family moved from Richmond Hts to Georgia. However, I was able to keep track of Thom’s adventures, and his life’s ups and downs through Jack. We did get to enjoy early Disney World visits when Thom came down with Mrs and Mr (Harrison) Krebs in the summer of ’73. A really nice memory growing up around the Balmoral Dr. was when Mrs (Catherine) Krebs would give us cookies, like Oreos, as a nice snack to keep us all fueled up during our afternoon play times. Well one time, Thom let us know he really enjoyed his cookie by sticking his tongue out, cookies and all, and for some reason it really cracked us up. So hilarious. He will be missed. We send Love and Light to the whole family.
