(nee Christopher); loving father of Michele Ambrogio (husband Thomas) and Laura Telich (husband Michael); devoted grandfather “Papa” of Nicholas (wife Amanda) and Matthew Ambrogio, Michael III (wife Kori) and Colin Telich (wife Maria Mercado) and great-grandfather “Papa” of Domenic and Ava Ambrogio, Carmela, Mary Kate, Michael IV, and Santina Telich; cherished son of the late Victor and Maria (nee Triskan); treasured brother of the late Edward; dear uncle and great-uncle. WWII U.S. Army Veteran.
Victor was born on October 15, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away at his home on February 25, 2022. He was recently a resident of Highland Heights – still proudly living independently, previously residing in Euclid for 68 years with his late wife. Vic was a parishioner at St. William Church since 1950. He graduated from Collinwood High School and was a member of Collinwood Memories and Clarkwood Beach Club, where he served as a Trustee. Victor retired from Lake Hydraulic Service as the owner/operator after working there since 1970. Yet he did continue to work there part-time for many years after selling the company. Vic loved fishing, gardening, hunting and listening to Jazz. His greatest joy came in spending time with his grandkids and family. He always enjoyed family reunions. Vic’s family best describes him as kind, a true family man, religious and faith-filled, dedicated to caring for others, and one who always enjoyed a few cold beers. He will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions suggested in memory of Vic to Ss. Robert & William Parish.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Ss. Robert & William Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following with military honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Victor at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 4-8 PM.
