He played the oboe and the bass and was a member of several bands when he was young. He enjoyed opera , musical theater, and folk music. He loved traveling, including camping and cross-country trips. He enjoyed traveling the globe with his wife. He especially enjoyed traveling to Germany. Bill was a car enthusiast and he enjoyed restoring cars.  He was a fan of Formula 1 and Indycar racing. He  began building a race car for his late son.

While Bill was stoic inside the home, outside of the home he was very charismatic. Bill was very intelligent and could fix anything. He was the family McGyver.  Bill was an honorable and loving man. He was devoted to his family and faith. He will be missed dearly by all.

I only met Bill after his daughter, Teri, married my nephew. He was such a positive, welcoming man!!
He personified all that was good, loving and kind. He was always there to give a hug and a good word! It was certainly a gift to have known him. My heartfelt love to all the family!

Condolence from Lisa Merlo Greene on October 2nd, 2021 11:12 am

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I will always remember “Mr. Masley” as a kind, generous, and grateful man. Though he was quiet, he had a great sense of humor. He always made me feel welcome. A man of strong faith, he served his God, his country, and his family with honor. Mr. Masley wanted the best for his children, and supported their dreams. His love of music lives on in his daughter, Tina. To Ann (“Mrs. Masley”), Tina, Teri, Katie, and the rest of the family, I am praying that you find peace in the knowledge that Bill and “Beej” are racing around Heaven together. May your happy memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.
