Stockings for Soldiers Annual Donation Pick Up
DeJohn Funeral Homes and Crematory is coordinating its annual Stockings for Soldiers donation pick up through November 24, 2025.
The DeJohn family supplies the red and white stockings free of charge to take home, decorate and stuff with Holiday Cheer. Included with the stocking is a list of suggested stuffers such as long socks, AA batteries, hand sanitizer, personal care items, puzzle books, and non-perishable food items.
Stockings are available for pick up and drop off at the Willoughby Hills, South Euclid and Chesterland funeral homes from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. You are also able to drop off after hours in the delivery or flower room of each funeral home. Chardon pick up and drop off by appointment.
Stuffed stockings must be returned to the funeral home no later than Monday, November 24, 2025.
“These past few years have been tough for everyone, especially for our military members serving overseas. We are proud to continue this program to give back to our Veterans and their families. It is our unique way of thanking them during the holidays for their service. Their sacrifices allow all of us to celebrate the holiday season with family and friends,” said Ross DeJohn Jr., DeJohn Funeral Homes Chief Executive Officer and US Army Veteran.
“Our Stockings for Soldiers program gives everyone in our community the opportunity to show their gratitude and support,” Ross Jr. added.
The DeJohn family and staff work in conjunction with organizations that will either send the stockings overseas to the troops and their families or distribute to local organizations that provide care for those who cannot care for themselves. The DeJohn family began the Stockings for Soldiers program in 2010 and have been able to bless more than 12,000 soldiers, veterans, and families with appreciation and a Merry Christmas.
